LEWIS WARD believes he can compete with Craig MacGillivray for the Portsmouth goalkeeper’s jersey following his loan move from Exeter.
The 23-year-old has signed on a temporary deal as cover for the injured Alex Bass.
“I’m here initially as No.2, but to compete and challenge,” Ward said.
“If I can push Craig and he pushes me, then that’s great.”
