DELIGHTED Mark Trueman hailed his Bradford side after their long-awaited return to action.
An Elliot Watt-inspired Bantams had relatively little trouble holding hosts Cambridge at bay to extend their unbeaten run to six games under interim bosses Trueman and Conor Sellars.
And there were very few signs of rust in what was their first match of 2021 following a string of postponements.
They came closest to finding a winner 16 minutes from the end when an effort from Gareth Evans somehow stayed out despite hitting both posts.
