IF the authorities want to stop players celebrating a goal, fine.
But at least have the decency to admit it’s a token gesture.
According to guidance sent to all Premier League and EFL clubs this week, steering clear of the post-goal pile on will help to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Yet Glenn Murray, the Watford striker, exposed the silliness of this notion on the 72+ podcast alongside Curtis Davies.
