HURST BIDS TO LIFT SINKING MARINERS

HE WAS the man who took Grimsby Town back into the Football League – and now Paul Hurst is determined to keep them there.
The 46-year-old was appointed Mariners boss for a second time on Wednesday, succeeding Ian Holloway in the hotseat.
Hurst led Grimsby to promotion into the EFL via the National League play-offs in 2016, but left for League One Shrewsbury later that year. He later had stints in charge of Ipswich and Scunthorpe.
