THE sense of relief among those with blackand- amber allegiances was as keenly felt as the raw winter air.
Having lost three league games on the bounce, Hull needed a big performance.
As did manager Grant McCann, who still has lots to prove in the eyes of many fans following their wretched relegation from the Championship.
Little wonder, then, that this victory was loudly celebrated by Hull’s players and staff at the final whistle.
