United effort earns big reward

INSPIRED by Rotherham duo Stephen Gilpin and Ross Burbeary, the football community has come together to raise more than £55,000 through a mammoth month-long fitness challenge. ‘Prostate United’, a fundraising effort created by Millers’ head of medical Gilpin and performance manager Burbeary, saw more than 70 members of football club staff from across the globe tackle either a 10km run or 25km cycle every day last month to raise funds in the fight against a disease that kills one man every 45 minutes.
