BIRCH SO EXCITED TO BE THE EFL CHIEF

TREVOR Birch has admitted the chance to become the EFL’s new chief executive was irresistible.
Birch leaves his position as director of football operations at Tottenham to take over from the out-going David Baldwin in the New Year.
He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Spurs. However, the opportunity to play a role in the EFL at such a crucial time is one I couldn’t turn down.
