COVENTRY skipper Liam Kelly admits the step up to the second tier has been a challenge but believes his side’s improved defence can lead them to a fruitful Championship campaign.
After winning League One last season, Coventry were just four points above the drop zone ahead of the weekend.
A hamstring injury in the 2-1 opening-day defeat to Bristol City had seen captain Kelly sidelined until a fortnight ago – barring a brief, aborted return in October.
