PREMIER League clubs may have agreed to the new restrictions on foreign players – but that doesn’t mean they won’t look for loopholes.
Post-Brexit, any overseas player must qualify for entry through a points-based system that takes into account international appearances, club appearances and the pedigree of the selling club.
British clubs will also be banned from signing any foreign player under the age of 18 and limited to signing no more than six foreign players under the age of 21 per season.
