DARRELL Clarke is hoping Walsall can be up amongst the promotion candidates when the League Two season “hots up” in the new year.
The Saddlers have had a mixed start to the campaign and were languishing in 16th spot ahead of the weekend, but boss Clarke has pointed out it is still early days.
The 42-year-old revealed: “We want to get up there as quickly as we possibly can. We’re a bit short at the minute, but League Two hots up in the second half of the season.
