GRIMSBY goalkeeper James McKeown was “pleased and proud” for youngster Ollie Battersby after he made his professional debut this week.
The 19-year-old was given the gloves for the Mariners’ Papa John’s Trophy clash against Leicester Under-21s.
They were beaten 3-1, but McKeown tweeted: “Very pleased and proud for Ollie making his debut, seeing first hand how hard he has worked since I first met him many years ago, couldn’t be happier.”
