I’D BACK FIVE SUBS IN THIS SPECIAL SEASON

WE’VE all had short spells in our careers when the games come thick and fast. And you know what? I enjoyed it.
I think all footballers would rather play more and train less. The problem at the moment is that it isn’t a short spell.
It’s a whole season.
Chuck in a cup run and you’re looking at a schedule unprecedented in the modern game.
So whilst I completely understand people saying it would disadvantage the weaker teams, I’d still advocate the use of five substitutes, like Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola have suggested....
