LEAGUE ONE
CALLUM McFadzean says he could not turn down the opportunity to sign for Sunderland.
The 26-year-old former Sheffield United defender joined the Black Cats as a free agent on a one-year deal having left Plymouth.
McFadzean said: “As soon as I knew Sunderland were interested I was desperate to get it done.”
Manager Phil Parkinson added: “This is a position we’ve been looking to strengthen for a while.”
