MATTY Palmer could not turn down the opportunity to work with John Sheridan again at Wigan.
The 25-year-old midfielder joined the Latics on transfer deadline day, linking up with Sheridan for a second time after a spell at Oldham.
Palmer said: “I played some of my best football with him as my manager so, as soon as I heard he wanted me, I wanted to join straight away. He knows what type of player I am and I know how he works as a manager.”
