AN EYESORE of a game got the winner it deserved with a deflected shot that was sailing wide before clattering into Bradley Johnson. Forest’s spirited second- half performance just about merited the three points, but such was their sloppiness that the Reds were fortunate to encounter a Blackburn side shredded to the bare bones.
Chris Hughton has a lot of work to do if this team is to contend for the top six, and the signing of Knockaert will certainly help.
On this evidence, they are crying out for a touch of individual brilliance from the Frenchman.
