CONOR Washington admits his Charlton debut could hardly have gone better.
The 28-year-old summer signing started and scored in a 2-0 win against Crewe at Gresty Road, doubling the Addicks’ lead just before half-time.
Washington said: “It’s great to start with a goal and three points. It doesn’t get much better than that.”
He added of his goal: “I’ve tried to get contact on it and sliced the life out of it but they go in!”
