PHIL Parkinson is confident Alim Ozturk will prove an able replacement for Bailey Wright after the defender was ruled out for 12 weeks with ankle ligament damage.
Wright, 27, was signed on loan from Bristol City last month and had started five games for Sunderland before suffering the injury during the clash with Oxford.
“Bailey has been excellent for us, but if he is out for a period, Alim comes in and there’s no problem with that at all,” Parkinson said.
“Alim has a great personality and he is a great lad.”
