MARTIN Braithwaite’s move to Barcelona has taken everyone by surprise, not least the Middlesbrough supporters who saw him toiling at the Riverside just 18 months ago.
A £9m signing from French club Toulouse in 2017, the Danish forward never settled on Teesside and was sold to Spanish side Leganes after just 36 appearances.
Is he good enough to play regularly for Barcelona? It would be very damning on Middlesbrough if so, but I think it would be a miracle if he is.
