OLE Gunnar Solskjaer has taken plenty of stick for allowing Marcus Rashford to play through a back injury.
The England striker will now miss the majority of the season and is even a doubt for the European Championships.
Compared to the shenanigans of 30 years ago, however, Solskjaer appears the acme of compassion – as I discovered from speaking with a former Nottingham Forest player on the receiving end of some medical care under Brian Clough.
