FORMER Manchester United winger Chris Eagles has left Oldham after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
The 34-year-old joined Latics in the summer on a one-year deal, but departs six months before his terms were due to expire after 18 appearances.
A club statement read: “The club would like to wish Chris well for the future and thank him for his time in an Oldham Athletic shirt.”
Oldham also announced the signing of 27-year-old defender Carl Piergianni on loan from League Two rivals Salford City for the rest of the Campaign.
