POMPEY & CO PAY THEIR RESPECTS TO RON

WINNER: Ron Saunders

TRIBUTES have flowed for legendary player and manager Ron Saunders, who died last Saturday at the age of 87.
In his playing days, Saunders shone brightest as a prolific striker at Portsmouth. He scored 156 goals in 258 appearances between 1958 and 1964 and remains the third-highest scorer in the club’s history.
Saunders also enjoyed stints at Everton, Gillingham, Watford and Charlton.
He started out in management as player-boss at Yeovil in 1967 and spent two decades in management, serving Oxford, Norwich, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Birmingha...
