VETERAN goalkeeper Stephen Bywater will stay registered as a Burton player, but is currently pursuing other interests.
The 38-year-old has started one game for the Brewers this season.
Boss Nigel Clough said: “Stephen is not getting paid at the moment – he is absolutely brilliant like that.
“He has said, ‘look, I’ve got other things on, but can I stay registered and if you need me in an emergency I will keep myself fit?’.”
