CRISIS-HIT Macclesfield are set to take to the field at home in the FA Cup this afternoon despite their players going on strike over unpaid wages – but they need to beware a Kingstonian ambush.
BBC Radio Manchester reported that salaries for October are still to be paid to players and staff, but the club intend for the fixture to go ahead as planned. The Silkmen may have to field a youth team if first-team players refuse to play.
Macclesfield’s place in the competition for both this season and 2020-21 would be at stake if the game was called off. Cup rules...
