HE’S the poster boy for Stevenage’s thriving academy – and Luis Fernandez will always be grateful for the support he received to make the pro ranks.
The work of EFL academies often goes under the radar, but Boro are eager to spread the word about what they do to bring through the young players of tomorrow.
The numbers are certainly impressive: the academy has 120 players who represent Stevenage FC, 165 yo u n g s t e r s in their shadow squad, 138 players in the development centres, 54 talent ID squad members and 40 elite...
