WIGAN midfielder Anthony Pilkington was pleased his hard work has paid off after he made a decisive goalscoring return for the Latics.
The 31-year-old made only his second appearance of the season against Birmingham and scored the only goal of the game after a quad injury ruled him out following the opening day win over Cardiff.
