There’s a lot to admire at lower levels
LOWER division clubs turned in some fantastic performances in the Carabao Cup in midweek – and it proved there are some extremely talented players below stairs.
League Two sides Colchester and Crawley both upset teams much higher up the ladder – the U’s defeating Tottenham and the Red Devils knocking out Stoke.
True, both games went to penalties, but that shouldn’t take anything away from what they achieved. Nor should the fact the opposition made a host of changes.
Spurs, for example, still fi elded the likes of Eric Die...
