MARK Cooper avoided talking up youngster Jack Aitchison too much, as the Celtic loanee helped inspire Forest Green to claim three points against Colchester.
Colchester captain Luke Prosser’s 31st minute own-goal gaffe handed Cooper’s side victory in a game in which Aitchison played a big part.
Cooper said: “He’s a clever little footballer and manipulates the ball well and looks a really good footballer, but we have to look after these young players and we have a duty of care.” Cooper was delighted to see his team keep another clean sheet.
