ELLIOT Embleton played a part in Ethan Robson’s decision to join Grimsby on a half-season loan.
Midfielder Robson, 22, will stay with the Mariners until January. Black Cats team-mate Embleton enjoyed a successful loan spell at Blundell Park last season and had only praise for the club when Robson sounded him out about the move.
“He had nothing but good words to say about it here, I’m sure he enjoyed his time here and he holds the club in high regard,” Robson said.
