CHAMPIONSHIP
CARDIFF manager Neil Warnock is confident Gavin Whyte will become “a fans’ favourite for years to come” after signing the winger on a four-year contract.
The 23-year-old joined Oxford from Belfast side Crusaders last summer and made 36 appearances in Sky Bet League One for the U’s, scoring seven goals.
Hailing the Northern Ireland international, who has joined the Bluebirds for an undisclosed fee, Warnock said: “I watched a lot of Gavin while we were scouting Curtis Nelson. He just excited me so much.
