INJURED RYAN’S IN AN UPBEAT MOOD…

STOKE skipper Ryan Shawcross is trying to stay positive after undergoing surgery on a broken leg sustained in a pre-season friendly clash with Leicester.
The 31-year-old suffered the injury as he made a sliding challenge during the first half of the Potters’ 2-1 home defeat.
Shawcross is now beginning his rehabilitation and has thanked the football community for their kind words and encouragement.
