PAUL Coutts and Martin Cranie were among 12 players released or transfer-listed by Sheffield United this week as they prepare for the Premier League.
The promoted Blades announced the departures of midfielder Coutts and defender Cranie, as well as Conor Washington, Daniel Lafferty and Caolan Lavery. Ched Evans, Leon Clarke, Jake Wright, Samir Carruthers,
Nathan Thomas, Ben Heneghan and Ricky Holmes have all been placed on the transfer list. Boss Chris Wilder said: “We’ve had a fantastic year and I’ve thanked the players for their efforts.”
