IT WAS TIME FOR CHANGE – LOCKYER

HONEST Bristol Rovers captain Tom Lockyer mourned the departure of manager Darrell Clarke – but admits he doesn’t know where the club would be now if his old boss had stayed.
The 24-year-old was a virtual ever-present under Clarke, below, as he led the club to a double promotion via the National League play-offs in 2015 and then League Two in 2016.
Clarke’s achievements were widely celebrated but spiralling form this season saw him replaced by Graham Coughlan in January.
