JOEY Barton is “excited for the future” of his Fleetwood Town side after Wes Burns signed a new contract.
Forward Burns is staying at Highbury until 2021, with the club holding an option for a further year. The 24-year-old joined Fleetwood from Bristol City in 2017 after a successful loan spell, and has recently been used as a wing-back.
