There is a fan-tastic final ahead!
IT PROMISES to be a special occasion when Portsmouth and Sunderland go head-to-head in the Checkatrade Trophy final at Wembley this afternoon.
It’s expected that it will be the biggest final attendance in the history of the EFL Trophy, beating the 80,841 crowd who saw Wolves beat Burnley 2-0 in 1988.
There will be two passionate sets of fans determined to roar their teams on to glory. After back-to-back relegations, few would begrudge Sunderland supporters a day in the sunshine at Wembley.
