SHOULD the EFL have held a minute’s silence to honour victims of the Christchurch massacre in New Zealand?
Yunas Lunat, the former FA race equality board chair, certainly thought so. “It is double standards and hypocrisy,” he said, referencing England’s response to the Paris attacks of 2015, when top-flight clubs wore black armbands and played La Marseillaise.
“To hold a minute’s silence was the right thing to do. When it happens for these events, it has to happen across the board for every attack.”
