HULL boss Nigel Adkins has hailed the impact of Liam Ridgewell following his arrival on a free transfer on deadline day.
Adkins handed the 34-year-old former West Brom, Birmingham and Aston Villa defender his first start against Rotherham in midweek alongside youngster Robbie McKenzie.
“I thought he was excellent first half, with the composure to play out a lot,” Adkins said.
“I want a right-footed centre-half and a leftfooted centre-half.
“They were excellent first half because I want us to play. I don’t want us to hoof it.”
