IT’S JOY FOR JOAO AS GOAL EARNS AWARD

WINNER: Lucas Joao

SHEFFIELD Wednesday striker Lucas Joao has scooped the Sky Bet Championship Goal of the Month award for December for his sizzling strike against Blackburn.
The 25-year-old Portuguese rifled home a spectacular 25-yard effort at Ewood Park.
Joao said: “Thank you to everyone that voted for me. I’m happy to have scored such a great goal, to help the team and to win this award for the club.
“It’s nice that Sheffield Wednesday have won this award three times this season, especially at a time when we aren’t performing as well ...
