Bentley: Kay’s goal shouldn’t have stood

MORECAMBE manager Jim Bentley was left raging with the officials after this game finished in controversial fashion.
Bentley was furious at a decision to allow Antony Kay’s 84th-minute goal for Port Vale to stand when he was clearly offside and said it was the moment that turned the game. Bentley said: “We were two goals up and I was feeling really comfortable.
“They had a lot of the ball in the second half, but our keeper hadn’t had to make a save and I thought the three points were ours. But that decision changed everything.
