ADVICE MAKES WATMORE RESIGN

IAN Watmore has resigned as an independent non-executive director on the EFL board due to health reasons.
The former chief executive of the FA was appointed in June this year.
However, following advice on a long-standing medical condition, he has informed the board of his intentions to step down and he leaves his position with immediate effect.
He said: “Having stabilised a heart condition some time ago, it has shown strong signs of reappearing and I have been advised this week medically to take a step back professionally or risk serious problems.
