COVENTRY boss Mark Robins launched a passionate defence of his side’s fans after a pitch invasion and bottle- throwing incident marred their defeat at Midlands rivals Walsall.
Scores of Sky Blues fans raced onto the pitch after Luke Thomas’s 20-yard volley brought City level at 2-2 early in the second half, having been two goals behind inside half-an-hour.
