THE saddest aspect of the tributes paid to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was that the Leicester owner wasn’t around to hear them.
Isn’t it so often the case? Heartfelt sentiments withheld in life are delivered in eulogies or scribed on tombstones, too late to bring cheer and warmth.
How wonderful, then, that Glenn Hoddle survived to hear what few of us ever will. Hoddle, 61, suffered a heart-attack just hours before the helicopter crash that killed Vichai, prompting affection and tributes from across the globe.
