PARKY’S BACKED TO CARRY ON AT BOLTON

BOLTON chairman Ken Anderson has given manager Phil Parkinson a vote of confidence.
There had been suggestions that Parkinson, who guided the Trotters to promotion to the Championship in 2016-17 and kept them up against the odds last term, was under pressure following a dip in results.
But Anderson was encouraged by a ‘significant improvement’ in performance in Friday night’s 2-0 loss at Aston Villa and has backed Parkinson, appointed in June 2016, to carry on.
