RODWELL LINED UP FOR NEW POSITION

TONY Mowbray believes Blackburn midfielder Jack Rodwell can earn a recall to Gareth Southgate’s England squad – as a centre-half.
Rodwell, now 27, won the last of his three caps in June 2013 when he was part of Manchester City’s midfield.
His club manager admits he has had to build up Rodwell’s confidence after a poor time at Sunderland that included back-to-back relegations.
‘My idea for him is that we turn him into a centre half as part of a back three,’ said Mowbray.
