JOSH Magennis played a part in Jamie Ward’s decision to join Charlton on loan.
The pair are Northern Ireland team-mates, and Ward, 32, said: “I spoke to Josh when I got news of a potential loan move and he didn’t have a bad word to say about the place.
“He loved his time here. It helps when someone knows the club inside out, knows the lads and it settled me a little bit.”
