SOUTHEND have brought in keeper David Stockdale on an emergency loan from Birmingham.
The Shrimpers’ first choice Mark Oxley misses three games after being sent off against Charlton last weekend and back-up Ted Smith is injured. Ex-Fulham man Stockdale, 32, has joined on a seven-day rolling loan.
“It’s just fantastic for us to have a goalkeeper of David’s calibre with us for a short period,” said boss Chris Powell.
