HIGH-END ASPIRATIONS FOR BOTH

FLEETWOOD and Sunderland pitched up at the Stadium of Light with a combined total of one defeat in 12 matches – the visitors’ 1-0 reverse against Wimbledon on the opening day.
That both departed with no further damage to the loss column says much about their relative strengths.
For Sunderland, that is a new-found resilience after years of meek surrender. This was the fourth game in succession that the Black Cats have come from behind.
