PETERBOROUGH boss Steve Evans got his hands on his top striker target when he landed Newcastle’s Ivan Toney on a three-year deal.
Posh signed the 22-yearold former Northampton forward for an undisclosed fee on deadline day.
Evans said: “Posh supporters should be aware this is the first striker I authorised a bid to be made for and was the first name on the striker’s list to bring in when I met with the board in May.”
