COLCHESTER captain Luke Prosser says the U’s simply weren’t good enough this season as their bid for promotion fell short once again.
United were looking for promotion back to the third tier after two seasons in League Two, but recent defeats to Accrington, Notts County and Lincoln left the side unable to make the play-offs.
Prosser is deeply frustrated by another disappointing campaign, and the 29-year-old defender knows the whole club must bounce back.
