BRISTOL Rovers captain Tom Lockyer’s Wales callup was fully deserved, according to his manager Darrell Clarke.
The defender will join the 26-man Wales contingent at the China Cup.
Clarke said: “It’s good for Locks. He has been playing really well.
“It’s no secret how much I rate the kid. He’s a born winner and great reader of the game. I think his performances have been consistent over the past two or three months and, when your good players play, it gives you a chance.”
