“ONE of the greatest minds in football” is how Sol Campbell described himself after missing out on the Oxford job this week, with the U’s looking set to appoint Craig Bellamy.
Oxford’s owner Sumrith “Tiger” Thanakarnjanasuth, who completed his takeover of the club on Thursday, admits his first priority is to end the ongoing search for a coach.
And the Thai businessman appears to have settled on Bellamy, 38, the former Welsh international striker, who notched 81 Premier League goals during his playing career.
